TO KILL WITH INTRIGUE: A Jackie Chan curio if ever there was one, this muddled, po-faced film is as bizarrely incomprehensible as its title. A twisting, oddly-engaging tale of love and suffering punctuated by moments of peculiar sadism, action-directors Chan San Yat and Jackie Chan himself put together a number of effective fight scenes, including a later battle featuring an array of deadly, cumbersome weapons. Whilst never boring, this kung fu flick is unlikely to warrant many repeat viewings. Rating: 2 / 5 .
