CANTONEN IRON KUNG FU: This pleasing if rather unremarkable kung fu film stars Leung Kar Yan as a benevolent coolie forced to show his hand, or rather fist, when veteran evil-doer Phillip Ko turns up to cause trouble. The action-choreography has a few flourishes, not least the innovative bone-crunching in the final scene, but is overall too banal to truly stand out from the highly-saturated crowd. Rating: 2 ½ / 5 .
